I have a friend; no name right now; but she is a girl between ages 1 and 120 (alright she is a teen, but that is all I'm given ya), and she wants to get her hair cut really short... like up to the ear lobe and I don't think it would look good on her and a bunch of people are making fun of her for her idea. Close friends too (I haven't, but I wouldn't do that to anybody). I want to be honest with her, but I don't want to hurt her feelings. I need some help... especially from ladies to see what you would want a guy to say to you or if you wouldn't want anything said at all.
My friend's hair???
Sometimes the truth hurts but it's the best thing for people. Just tell her what you think and she may have a grudge against you for a while or she may think you were real nice to tell her what you thought instead of making fun of her. it may hurt her a bit for you to tell her that you don't think it would look too good on her. try saying, "_______(name), you know that haircut you want to get? Well, I know you might think i am being mean and all, but i don't think that would look too good on you. I'm not making fun of your idea like everyone else, I am just telling you what i think." Then let her respond, then you have to come up with what to say. Just be gentle. The truth may hurt or it may not. But at least you are telling her the truth and not making fun of her. True/close friends wouldn't make fun of her ideas, they would tell her what they think in a kind and truthful way.
My friend's hair???
tell her straight up you will regret it
My friend's hair???
Let her get her hair cut really short. She'll probably look cute, but if she doesn't, people need to learn the hard way.
My friend's hair???
maybe you could give her a few other ideas on how to cut her hair at a longer length and show her some pictures of people with that hair cut and maybe she will like one of them better
My friend's hair???
Convince her. If you are her boyfriend (and it sounds like you are), have a chat with her mom. decide ideas together. if that doesn't work, then let her find out the hard way.
