I need help deciding on a new hair style?

Okay so, after almost 14 years my parents have finally decided to let me do what I wish with my hair(Well, kind of). I never had an actual hair cut, just trims. And if you know me, you know I absolutely dread long hair. I want shorter hair, and I want them side bangs you see around, like on Lauren from The Hills. I need something parent approved, lol.

I have a big head, just to put that out. My hair is brown, and naturally turns to blondeish at the bottom. My part, parts best at the center but we can always change that right? It's straight, so people say. It's really thick, and ugh I just hate it hah.

you need layers!! How about a nice cut that layers around your face. You could have side bangs and then gradually get layers from that, and you could still keep a bit of lenght in the back. A bit of highlights wouldn't hurt. If you don't want anything too radical just get a few shades lighter than your own hair, but it would do a huge lot to give you're hair a bit more life. You're face is pretty, you definitely need to cut your hair quite a bit shorter, but layers will make it look nice, give character and frame your face nicely. Try it, you'll like it!! I used to have long hair like you as a teen and parents like yours, so this is tested and proved right!!

my advie is don't go too short. If i were u i would try sumthin shoulder length or just above the shoulders. if u want great pics of cute hair styles go to google images and type in.........

I went through the same thing::: I was not allowed to cut my hair until 8th grade. Now, at 25, I have had several different lengths. I chop it off and then I always gravitate towards longer hair and longer layers b/c that is what works for me. Good LUck!!!

You might want to try a shoulder length cut with lots of layers and bangs.. and yea my natural part is in the middle also, but you can part it where ever you want..
