ok, so i got my hair cut real short about 2 years ago. After it grew out, i got some bangs (before they were what everyone had xP)

and now, my hair is just long with a few little layers and i'm so bored of it.

i want a sort of shaggy, punkish, shortish(no shorter than mid-neck) haircut that would look good dyed pink too.

anyone know of such a haircut?

btw- i DO NOT WANT the boring long, curly, celeb haircuts that i got before.

i have long, straight, fine, dark brown/black hair (like in my avitar)

any suggestions?

There are magazines about hair and styles- you can find them at Borders, Barnes and Noble, etc...also, magazines that have celebrities or such, maybe you like a specific artist's hair or a friend's...Take a picture and bring it to your stylist.
