should i leave my hair long and put it in an updo for my wedding or should i get it cut short (but not too short) i've had short hair before but i don't know what would look better....
pictures would be awesome! :)

You can do whatever you want. Short hair can be dressed up with ribbons, hair ornaments etc. Updos are another option.
You can also wear your long hair down. This is what I'm doing. My hair is already long, but I might get (human hair not the tacky cheap kind) extensions. I'll have long blond curls down to my butt!
The key is that you want to look like YOU in your wedding pics, and you don't want to rush into anything you might regret. Have a vision, think it over, and go with your gut. If that is short hair, I say go for it, but make sure you go to a respected stylist who will help you get the exact look you want. They should already have some styles in mind for your big day before they even pick up the scissors.
If you are unsure, play around with updos and leaving your hair down to see what you like. Most stylists can do wedding trials for a decent price.
Lastly, you can always try a short cut after the wedding, or get extensions as a backup in case you change your mind.
Good luck and remember to have fun!

oooh how exciting! i'm not sure if i would risk cutting my hair before my wedding in case it doesn't turn out good... unless you have a very trusty hairdresser. i think long hair in an updo with the veil looks absolutely gorgeous... but either way i'm sure you will look beautiful because you are getting married!

Keep your hair medium length so you can go either way. I have been growing my hair long and am going to wear my hair half and half. Here is a website to the company that will be doing my hair. There are pictures of girls before and after so you can see the length of their hair to get a good idea. Good Luck!

this is an exciting time for you. congratulations! well, it's really a personal choice. but i've always preferred an updo because it's a classic and will look good in pictures 10 or 20 years from now. but it really depends on what you're comfortable in. you can experiment and see what looks best in your wedding gown. best wishes and good luck : )

Do you look better with your hair up pulled off your face or with it down? If you look your most stunning with your hair down the last thing you want to do is wear it up and look less than your most atrractive.

Have a hair trial and see what the stylist does, then try your dress on with your hair up, some dresses look great with up-do's and others look better with hair down. I had my hair cut short in January, much to the horror of some people who say brides should have long hair, but it was the best thing I could have done. If you have it mid-length then you can still have it up if you choose, or get it cut short after the wedding.

on one of those wedding shows i watched recently, they said to wear your hair the way you normally do. the same for make up. so if you usually wear your hair down, than do that. you are not supposed to look different just cause it is your wedding day.

I think long hair in an updo is the ultimate look for a bride. Hair swept away from the face.. very chic, always in style.

There is no reason to look different on your wedding ... you want your guests to be able to recognize you. If you have long hair that you usually wear down, dress it up with some curls and a few flowers. If your hair is usually up, then an up-do isn't a bad choice. No reason to cut your hair for the wedding ... especially since you might not like it in the end and wouldn't have time to grow it back.
